Insulation: Aluminum Covered Line Wire has a black high density polyethylene HDPE or cross-linked polyethylene XLPE insulation.

Application:

Aluminum Covered Line Wire is designed for use on overhead secondary distribution lines. Covered Line Wire is not an electrically insulated conductor and is treated as a bare conductor when installed. The insulation provides protection against circuit interruption due to weather.

Conductors: Compact stranded AA-8000 series aluminum alloy conductors, AAC, ACSR.

Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). Neutral conductor identified with yellow striping or full yellow jacket

Application:

Triplex URD cable is rated at 600V for underground secondary distribution and underground service not exceeding 90ºC. It may be directly buried in earth or installed in duct in both wet or dry locations. Material is constructed with 8000 series compact aluminum conductors and is approved for indoor use per the NEC.

Aerial Bundle Cable (ABC cable) is a very innovative concept for overhead power distribution as compared to the conventional overhead bare conductor distribution system. It provides higher level of safety and reliability, lower power losses and ultimate system economy by reducing installation, maintenance and operative cost.Caledonian LV Aerial Bundle Cables are designed to supply 600/1000 volt aerial service for temporary service at construction sites, as a service drop (power pole to service entrance), as a secondary cable (pole to pole) or street lighting. This overhead cable provides reinforced insulation acc. IEC 61140 and fulfill therefore Class II acc. IEC 61140. It is not flame retardant. But this could be if requested change to a flame retardant cable.

Conductor: Aluminium conductor, round stranded compressed (RM).
Insulation: XPLE compound, UV-resistant.
Core Identification: 1, 2 resp. 3 raised longitudinal ribs on the surface of the cores. The surface of the neutral core should have at least 12 ribs for cross-sections up to 50 mm^2 and a minimum of 16 ribs for cores above 50 mm^2. In the case of five core bundles the surface of the protective core should be smooth.

Application:

Medium Voltage Covered Conductors provide the effective solutions to prevent the revenue loss due to theft by direct tapping, tree faults and other problems associated with bare overhead conductors. Covered conductors have been tested across two conductors of 22kV for upto 300 hrs, after which the test was discontinued. This has proved the reliability and effectiveness of MVCC in preventing the system failure on account of transient faults created in system due to falling trees or branches.

Construction:

Covered conductors consist of stranded hard drawn aluminum conductors with either one, two or three extruded layers depending on the voltage rating. Covered conductors are available in black or gray depending on visual preference. In a Covered Aerial MV System (formerly called Spacer Cable), spacers hold three MV phase conductors in close approximation. The spacers are suspended from a high-strength messenger wire. Covered Aerial MV (CAMV) cable itself is a single aluminum conductor protected by a layer of track-resistant polyethylene.

Conductor: 1. stranded aluminum wires (AAC). 2. compacted stranded aluminum conductor (AAC)

Insulation: 1. black thermosetting cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). 2. thermoplastic low density polyethylene (LDPE). 3.thermoplastic high density polyethylene (HDPE)
